Gallery Here’s a glimpse of some of our recent projects Before beginning a head gasket replacement on a customer's 1979 Perkins 4.236. After draining coolant, removing the intake manifold, injectors, fuel filter assembly, and valve cover. This is about the halfway point before removing the cylinder head to change the head gasket. Exhaust manifold, fuel lines, rocker assembly, and pushrods, still need to be removed. Cylinder head removed, and we just inspect and prepare for reseating the cylinder head. Block is getting cleaned for the new gasket. Those two cylinders being pointed at had a scratch or two that the customer needed to be informed of. New head gasket in place. Now to seat the cylinder head. Began reassembling the engine. Engine has been fully assembled, ran, and then primed, and painted to prevent rust. Universal Diesel M25 Exterior Restoration This customer was having some work done to the engine as well while he wanted the outside restored. Beginning of the masking and cleaning process. Masking and cleaning finished. Engine is primed. Beginning of painting process. Final Product This Yanmar 6LP is seized and will be replaced with a Volvo Penta D6. The Yanmar is out. Preperation for the Volvo begins. Ready to go. Volvo D6 being mocked up, to make adjustments for motor mounts, and how other things will be routed for the new engine. Engine is now mounted. Exhaust is fitted, and this Volvo D6 is ready run. This is the helm area of the vessel that we swapped the yanmar out with the Volvo. This is before the Volvo Penta electronics were installed. This is after the Volvo Penta electronics were installed. Steering wheel needed to be removed to install the ignition panel. This old Volkswagon engine we swapped with a Yanmar 4JH40. Here's what it looked like after it was ripped out. After it was cleaned. The new Yanmar being lowered in. Here's the new Yanmar after it was slid into place. Everything for the engine was hooked up, and this boat was ready to sail again. A lot of custom work was done to make this specific swap happen. Replacing an output shaft seal that was leaking on a ZF Transmission. Prepping this Volvo Penta IPS for a removal and reseal. Triple Volvo Penta IPS Reseal. Volvo Penta D13 turbo replacement. Both digested the saltwater spray rusting their internals and seizing them both. CAT 3406 100 hour service Old Mercruiser that overheated and needed both head gasket replaced. A very unique triple CAT N/A 3208 setup. This Mercruiser 3.0l had digested saltwater and sat for a long time. It's going to get replaced with a new long block. This is the Mercruiser 3.0 long block with the old engines parts that were cleaned, primed, painted, and installed on the new engine. Universal Diesel timing cover reseal.
